Who you deal with
No account manager, no ticket number.
Hameldon was founded in 2026 by Abdul Shahid. He has spent twenty five years in IT operations and infrastructure, most of it making other people's technology work rather than building anything from scratch.
That matters more than it sounds. A lot of the work here is walking into something somebody else set up years ago, working out what it actually does, and deciding what can stay. That is a different skill from starting with a blank page, and it is the one most small businesses need.

The background
Big systems, small businesses.
The earlier years were spent on large estates. A national retailer with over six hundred branches, and an NHS primary care trust. Multi site networks, thousands of users, and the kind of change control where getting it wrong is somebody's afternoon gone across the whole country.
More recently the work has been the opposite end of the scale. Trades and facilities businesses, healthcare, hospitality, community organisations. Five to twenty five people, one person who is vaguely the technical one, and a setup that grew rather than got designed.
The useful part is having seen both. Small businesses are usually sold either enterprise complexity they will never need, or consumer tools that fall over the moment the business grows. Knowing where the actual line sits comes from having worked on both sides of it.

No proprietary platform you would have to leave behind.
Twenty five years means a long list, and most of it is not worth reading. What matters is that none of it is exotic. Standard tools mean somebody else can pick the work up, and you are never stuck with us because of something only we understand.
If you already run something that is not here, that is usually fine. Most of the job is working out how systems fit together, and that travels.
