What we do  /  Networks and infrastructure

Wifi that reaches. Cables you can trace.

Wifi that drops in half the building, cabling nobody has labelled since 2016, and hardware specified for a smaller company than you are now.

Surveyed before it is specified, labelled before it is handed over.

The problem

Rarely designed. Usually added to.

Networks grow by accident. A router from the broadband provider, a switch someone bought on offer, an extender in the back office because the signal never reached. It works until the day it matters, and then nobody can say which cable goes where.

Meanwhile the guest wifi is on the same network as the till and the accounts machine, which is a problem waiting for a quiet afternoon.

What we install

Done once, labelled, documented.

  • Site survey first. We measure coverage before specifying anything, rather than guessing at access point numbers.
  • Structured cabling. Run properly, terminated properly, labelled at both ends and recorded on a plan.
  • Business grade wifi. Coverage across the whole site, with roaming that works as people move around it.
  • Guests kept separate. Customer wifi on its own network, nowhere near your tills, cameras or accounts.
  • Remote monitoring, if you want it. We can see a problem starting rather than waiting for someone to ring and say the internet is down. What we watch, and what happens when something trips, is agreed in writing before it is switched on.
  • A drawing you can keep. What is installed, where it is, and what it does. Handed over at the end.

After handover the network is yours. If something we installed fails because of how we installed it, we put it right. Day to day support stays with your IT support firm, and they get the drawing too.

Wifi not reaching?

A survey usually answers it in an afternoon, and tells you what you actually need rather than what you have been sold.
