Who we are
This website is run by Hameldon Technology Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17376440. Registered office: Rawtenstall, Rossendale, Lancashire, BB4 8EB.
For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller, which means we are the people responsible for looking after your information and answerable for what happens to it.
Questions about this notice or about your data go to hello@hameldontech.co.uk.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, reference ZC258148.
What we collect
If you fill in our enquiry form, we ask for:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you want to give it
- Your business name
- A short description of what you would like help with
That is all. We do not ask for anything we do not use, and there is nothing hidden in the form.
If you book a call with us, we also hold the time you booked and any notes you added when booking.
Why we collect it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to understand the situation before we talk, and to arrange and hold a conversation about it. If we go on to work together, we use it to carry out that work and to invoice you for it.
The legal basis for replying to an enquiry is legitimate interests. You have contacted us asking for help, and we use the details you gave us to provide it. Once we are working together, the basis is performance of a contract, and for our accounting records it is a legal obligation.
We do not send marketing email. There is no newsletter, and filling in the form does not sign you up to anything.
Where your information goes
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing. To run the business we use a small number of providers who process information on our behalf:
- GoHighLevel. Our enquiry form and client records. Your enquiry is stored here.
- Google Workspace. Our email and calendar, used to reply to you and to arrange calls.
- Cloudflare. Handles this website's domain and routes mail sent to our published address.
- Google Analytics. Counts visits to this website, acting on our behalf. See the cookies section below.
- Our web host. Stores this website and its server logs.
Some of these providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, they are contractually required to protect it to a standard equivalent to UK law.
We will also disclose information where the law requires it, and to our accountant where it forms part of our records.
How long we keep it
If we work together, we keep your information for as long as we have a working relationship and for six years afterwards, which is what our tax and accounting obligations require.
If your enquiry does not lead to us working together, we keep your details for twelve months in case you come back to us, and then delete them.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. That means Google sets cookies in your browser and receives information about your visit, including your IP address. We use it to understand how the site is used, not to build a profile of you, and we do not run advertising or remarketing cookies.
We also use Google Search Console, which tells us which searches bring people here. It sets no cookies and collects nothing about you individually.
Everything else on the site is served from our own server. We host our own fonts rather than loading them from a font service, so the page itself does not hand your details to anyone.
If you would rather not be counted, use the button below. It stops analytics on this site in this browser, and nothing on the site will break as a result. Browser settings and extensions that block analytics work too.
The enquiry form is provided by GoHighLevel and is embedded from their system. It may set its own cookies when you interact with it, which are governed by their privacy notice rather than ours.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your information
- Object to us using it
- Ask us to limit how we use it
- Ask for a copy in a portable format, where we hold it under a contract with you
Email hello@hameldontech.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge, and you do not have to give a reason.
We do not make any decisions about you by automated means.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first so we have a chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when what we do changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
Still got a question?
If anything here is unclear, ask us. We would rather explain it than have you guess.
